Volra

Battery health & charging · iOS

See your battery come alive.

Volra turns a normally-static battery screen into live telemetry — charge level, charging speed, and trends, moving with a calm, precise motion language called Live Current.

About

Live telemetry, honestly labeled.

iOS lets apps read your battery level, charging state, Low Power Mode, and thermal state — and nothing more. Volra shows those real signals live, then estimates current, voltage, wattage, temperature, and time-to-full from the charge curve. Every estimated value is clearly marked as an estimate, never dressed up as a direct sensor reading.

Now

Watch it charge

A live charge ring, charging quality, and estimated time-to-full — updated as it happens.

Trends

See the history

Day, week, month, and year charging trends built from your own recorded sessions.

Test

Rate your chargers

Run a charger test, compare your gear, and see which adapter charges fastest.

Why do the current, voltage, and wattage values say "Estimated"?

Because Apple's public APIs don't expose them. iOS only lets apps read battery percentage, charging state, Low Power Mode, and thermal state. Volra estimates the rest from how your charge level changes over time against a per-device profile — so we label every one of those numbers as an estimate rather than pretending it's a direct measurement.

Does Volra show my battery health percentage or cycle count?

No. Battery health and cycle count can't be read by third-party apps on iOS, and they can't be reliably derived from the four signals we do have — so we deliberately don't show a health score. You'll find those figures in the iOS Settings app under Battery.

Does the Charge Limit alert work in the background?

Volra's alerts (thermal, full charge, charge limit) fire while the app is open and observing your battery. iOS doesn't grant battery-monitoring apps a background entitlement, so we keep this honest: it's a foreground feature, not a silent background daemon.

Do you collect my data?

No. Everything Volra shows is computed on your device, and your charging history stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded anywhere. See the Privacy section below for details.

Privacy

Your battery data stays on your device.

Volra is built to keep your information private. Here is exactly what that means — and it's also what we declare in the App Store's "Data Not Collected" privacy label.

  • No personal data collected. No account, no sign-in, no identity required to use the app.
  • No analytics, no third-party tracking. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs. Nothing about your usage is sent to us.
  • Everything stays on your device.Your charge sessions, trends, and charger results are stored locally on your iPhone and are never uploaded to any server.
  • No network access for your data.Volra doesn't have a backend. There's nowhere for your battery data to go.
  • No ads, so no ad networks. There's nothing collecting your behavior to sell against.
Battery infoRead on-device via Apple's public APIs — battery level, charging state, Low Power Mode, and thermal state. Never leaves your phone.
NotificationsOptional — used for thermal, full-charge, and charge-limit alerts while the app is running. You can decline and still use everything else.
Live ActivityOptional — shows charging status on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. Rendered on-device only.
